On October 1st 2014 we launched the Crescent Culture project, initially, a virtual group on Facebook, with the intention to explore and promote the best of British Muslim and Islamic arts, and to create a space where British Muslim artists and cultural producers can talk to one another, share knowledge and information, and hopefully start to collaborate.

Too many British Muslim artists work in isolation, the British Muslim arts/cultural sector is fragmented at best and non-existent at worst, and resources are in very limited supply.

Update: In little over a thirteen months the group has grown to include more than 600 artists, musicians, cultural producers, art lovers and heritage enthusiasts. Many connections have been made, even more events shared and lively discussions had.
