After hearing about the excellent Islamic Mapping Project run by the Islamic Art and Material Culture Specialist Subject Network (SSN). The Muslim Museum Initiative approached the SSN to see if it could contribute in any way. Communicating with Project Researcher Jenny Wright, the MMI provided advice and assistance with regards to potential Material Culture collections and engaging the Muslim communities.

The Muslim Museum Initiative wholeheartedly supports this much needed project and the wider SSN’s objectives. We look forward to seeing the results.
